If you use just a few pounds of space in your suitcase and bring supplies for our area schools or clothes gently used, you’ll make a priceless impact in the lives of our local children and families.
We have been fortunate to be able to support our community center Entreamigos (Among Friends), over the last several years. Entreamigos is a non-profit Community Organization with a vision to provide the children and families of San Pancho the skills needed to contribute to their changing communities in a positive way and it has been recognized by the Dalai Lama for the work that is done with the children and community.
The support of our guests to the community center, the town and the children of San Pancho (San Francisco Nayarit, Mexico) has made a positive difference in the lives of many. To make it easier for all of us to contribute we invite you to join our “Pack for a Purpose” program.
The items donated go to Entreamigos which began eleven years ago with a very simple idea “ To teach what you know and ask others to do the same”. From a humble beginning of only 80 lending books in Spanish, crammed into a 10 X10 foot room, the Community Education center now encompasses 16,000 sq. feet and has over 7,000 books in Spanish. The busy community center hosts the library, a library loan program to the schools, computer lab, classrooms, sports and exercise spaces, a gallery, cinema room, eco-design workshops, recycling center and re-sale shop!
